Robert: "Hello Mr.
Urup,
I looked at your images in your colours of decay
presentation. I looked at each image for several
minutes attempting to grasp what meaning each of
your images had for you as well as for myself.
Unfortunately, I failed to grasp the full
meanings of the Decay part. I saw many images of
items in a state of natural change. Most of these
images to me, show not an ending in decay, but a
beginning in another state of existence.
Now to me, when I think of decay, I do not see
nature, but the works of people. Political decay
where the politicians no longer care for the
people but for themselves, street gangs holding
neighborhoods at bay, graffiti on fine works of
art. I am not an artist, so perhaps what I am
seeing is not what you intended for me to see. I
would enjoy hearing your feelings on my
observations.
Thank you for your time in reading my
letter."Hi Robert,
Your are so right, the decay is only seen from
one point of view, and from another point of view
it's simply the begining of a new form of
"life". A form of "life"
which I personally enjoy looking at. Hey, I also
prefer and old chair to a new, more life...
Thanks for your feedback!
Kind regards,
:-)
